A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I do some farming at my place since my son has a farming business. And I ride bikes almost everyday.

2. Why do you make art?

For me making art is therapy. It's relaxing. If I don't do it I don't feel good.

3. What inspires you?

I'm inspired by the challenge. Making great art is not easy. And I love leaving my mark on something. Life is too short not to.

4. What/who are your influences?

I'm influenced by so many artists but by far my biggest influences are Soutine and Basquiat.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I would love to have met Soutine. He was a talented quiet man who influenced great abstract painters like de Kooning, Pollock and Dubuffet.
